This online course is the fourth part of 8 total parts in the Behavior Support for Intensive Intervention Course Series. The content of this course was created using the materials from the National Center on Intensive Intervention with their permission to restructure the format for CMCSS online learning.
From NCII:
"Intensive instruction was recently identified as a high-leverage practice in special education, and DBI is a research based approach to delivering intensive instruction across content areas (NCII, 2013). This course provides learners with an opportunity to extend their understanding of intensive instruction through in-depth exposure to behavioral theory and instructional strategies that may enhance academic intervention and/or serve as a foundation for intensive intervention in behavior through the DBI process.
The course includes eight modules that can support faculty and professional development providers with instructing pre-service and in-service educators’ knowledge of behavioral theory and skills in designing and delivering effective behavioral supports for students with intensive needs."
